 Kingston-Miami
Trading Co. (KMT) was presented with the Minority Exporter of the Year
award at the 22nd Annual Minority Enterprise Development Week Awards
Luncheon (MED Week) held in Atlanta, Georgia. National Minority Business
Development Agency (MBDA) director Ronald N. Langston and regional director
Robert M. Henderson presented various awards to minority enterprises
operating out of the Southeast United States. Patrick A. Cha-Fong, President
of KMT, was in attendance to accept the prestigious award on behalf
of the company he founded in 1982.

MED Week is organized every year by the U.S. Department of Commerce's
Minority Business Development Agency. Managers, CEOs, and business owners
gather from all over the Southeast region to honor minority enterprises
that support minority business development. Award recipients for 2004
included representatives from companies like Toyota Motor Manufacturing
N.A., Elite Staffing Services of GA, Universal Manufacturing Corporation,
and many others.
